Derrick was born without his right hand and spent his early life suppressing his gifts, shrinking his voice, and rejecting opportunities to inspire. Far from Christ, he struggled with insecurities, unmet expectations, and deep brokenness until a life‑changing encounter with God at 23. In surrender, he prayed for deliverance from alcohol, and from that moment, he never drank again. God restored what was fractured, replaced darkness with eternal hope, and taught him to see himself through the truth of “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” and “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Today, Derrick inspires many as a husband of 29 years, a father of seven adult children, and a grandfather of four. With over 25 years of leadership experience, including senior leadership roles, he brings clarity, steadiness, and grounded authority to every space he leads. His influence spans ministry and the marketplace, where he develops, strengthens, and calls people to take ownership of their growth.
